Here are the facts do with them what you wish.
These numbers reflect the actual number of cars which ran in the first round of eliminations on Sunday each of the past three years.
2007
NMCA 180
LSX 82
Bracket 140
*Lots of breakage and oildowns -- show went long -- message forums went crazy after pointing towards bad execution, too many bracket cars.
2008
NMCA 143
LSX 80
Bracket 143
* Little breakage, few oildowns -- show ended at a decent hour -- message forums were very positive and complimentary.
2009
NMCA 165
LSX 86
Bracket 160
*terrible weather, resulting in breakage, 3:45 minutes of downtime alone on Saturday to JUST clean-up oildowns, still adding up the numbers from Sunday. Message boards.. well we know what is going on.

thanks for posting the numbers Scott, although we teched 120 cars for index, 8 drag radial and 4 all motor. Some obviously didn't make index (choosing to run True Street only, brekage, etc).

By looking at the numbers, I don't see where there is room to run cars other then NMCA at this event.
Hell there were fewer cars in 2008 and the event went smoother. Less breakdowns and such. You guys don't run an event like Pinks All Out that has the ability to run 500 plus cars in a timely manner.
I really don't think it is fair to the LSX crowd to subject them to your schedule.
Yes the weather was not favorable on Thurs-Sat, it just compounded the problem of not being able to run the car count.
A great time at the early bird party does not make up for poor quality racing.
I can't see the NMCA crowd being happy to share the event with the LSX crowd either.
I wouldn't say last year did not have its share of negative response either. I was tooting the same horn then too. The event just went a bit smoother in 2008, LSX class still came across as not as important.
I am not trying to bash Scott or the NMCA for purposely trying to push LSX aside. I know they have the best intentions, and worked hard, but I just don't see it working with the 2 headliners.
It is time for change.........

im sure the nmca guys are hating us for clogging up their finals..
would it be possible for nmca to run on 2 days and LSx stuff on the third day? we would talk a saturday or a sunday.. and nmca could have a friday/sunday or friday/sat schedule..

I feel so bad for the Rumble cars that did not make it. Glad you came out, let's get them ready for next year
