I got in my car on sat after dinner and turned the key only to hear one quiet click. I actually had to double check I had my foot on te clutch lol. I did. The battery is only months old an like I said only oneclick not multiples. Jump start with cables from a friends car did not work so we actaully push started it. I know how crazy a sight to see a caddy getting started with a clutch pop lol. Anyway I have it sitting in the garage now (too afraid to get stranded til I look at it) it has started a half dozen tomes on it's own and the done the same thing. This time I jumped it with a battery charger. Now I'm confused. when I actually get more time to look at it where should I start? Is there a relay to look at or test the starter see if the solenoid is bad? This is odd

Have you disconnected the cables to see if there is any crap built up between the terminal and the cable? That's always my first step.

shake your cable running to the starter. Crappy connection. You will need to remove the nut from the stud and add a thick washer to stand the lug off of the starter a bit. Happened to me about 5 times before i found the problem

Check the terminals to make sure they're tight.

Check the battery main ground.

Make sure you didn't burn any starter wires on a header.

Had a similar problem and it was the battery ground terminal. When mine did this, the clock would reset. Good luck.
