HAHAHA, HOLY SHIT. DID I JUST SELL MY Z06?
Can I just buy that one John? I actually sat in your V when it was delivered to DFW. The good old Sewell guys gave me word that they had arrived and yours was one of the first!
Nice job

Very impressive, nice to see a 4,000lb., 4-door Caddy outperform every stock C6Z out there---this is an assumption, as I did not see any crack 180mph down here at our event. I did 162mph and realize to get anywhere near 180mph I will need a 150+shot once I hit 4th gear. I know I am at about 120mph for the first quarter, so the biggest obstacle is the gearing.
Again, great job, and way to represent!!!

Just watched again, and someone else posted on Youtube, that it sounds like car was only shifted 4 times. If so, was this a second gear launch, or did it run 185mph through 5th gear---saw an site that said 5th redline is 178mph. Did this V have it stock gearing?

Is 178mph in 5th based of Stock redline?
I can see him gaining the extra MPH's with added power + rpms, tail wind?

I may be wrong, but I 'think' only in 6th gear do you get more mph. I 'think' in the lower gears the mph does not increase, only your time through the gears become less. Not sure about the tailwind, as the car weighs over 4,000lbs and I 'think' those gains would be extremely marginal at those speeds.
Please jump in if you can enlighten us all, thanks.

Sounds like the stock rev limiter in 5th gear is upped a little for the extra mph in 5th.
Onebadcad, you need to get some 3.42s for your car. I can see you gaining a good 10 mph with 3.42s in a mile

Yep, 3.42s, some TTs and a 350-shot will get me in the 300mph range:devil:. Not being able to launch hard in first is also costing me a few MPHs.
