Just got my car weighed and it tips the scales at 3800# with no weight reduction.
Car has this stuff that must be running the weight up:
True dual stainless exhaust with LT's
2 10" subs in a very small MDF cabinet in the well
2 rather large amplifiers
17" x 9.5" C6 rims
275-40-17 tires
Go ahead and tell me.
My car is fat:D

Metal scrap yard scale. They claim its accurate to 20 pounds.

Your car is fat. my old 98 T/A vert weighed 3820 WITH me and a friend in the car. No weight reductions at all

My car is stock. 99 Z28 6 speed with full tank of gas 3600 pounds. Does a LT1 weight more than a LS1?

Most definitely. I have an iron block, LS1 has an aluminum block. That accounts for a sizable amount of the difference in weight.

Also forgot to mention.
I also have a fabbed 9" rear end with iron gear case. Thats good for some more poundage.

the 9 inch you have is only about 15-18 pounds heavier than the 10 bolt... Face it Bill... these things are heavy turds!!!

3760 with me in it, only weight reduction is !rear seats, but I also have a cage.

3740 with me and a 1/4 tank of gas. Its missing the norm, spare that wasnt worth a damn, the jack I hate using, and then I added the full 10# bottle, and all of its crap, and well.. I think that equals out for the most part!!!

4045 with me in it (185). Since then I added the 4l80e but did put a BMR K member and arms in and got some Bogarts. I'd be happy to be under 4K.
