The dyno challenge should be for street legal car with INS. Anyone can dial back there race car and blow up the dyno. Sad to see the little guys get the shaft by a race car. THis happens ever year so I guess I am going to invite John Force next year tell him he can win a grand for 5 mins of his time?? They need to do something about the DYNO KING. Maybe make it True street dyno challenge you would have alot more little guys trying to win that money.

If that were the case Mike Brown could get on there and blow the dyno up also, it is a street car with insurance!!

yea, no need to complain, Mark bringing his race car over there brought over the most spectators to the dyno all weekend!

But Force would not be eligible since he does not have an LSX in that thing....LOL

I see your point but Ins is just a 200 investment for a car

That is true, people were crowded all over the place to see it.

Congrats to Mark on the Dyno and Runner-up in DR. Gee, 2 Ohio Boys in the finals, I think it is John Force racing.

I can appreciate your point but until the rules change that's just the way it goes. The rules in DR and the way I chose to comply with them may have cost me a shot at the win on the track too but that's the rules we had to live with this year. I'm sure there will be changes next year, state your case to those that make a difference is all I can say.

To everyone else...thanks for the comments, it took the sting out of being first loser in the race, lol.

Congrats on your win on the dyno, I had a feeling you would be getting on it again. Sad thing is I was the first one on the dyno Sunday, made 755 rwhp on 14psi and I WAS THE LOWEST NUMBER OF THE DAY. I wasn't expecting that, LOL. I understand people not wanting you big guys on the dyno, but dyno king is dyno king.

Congratulations Mark! Next year will be the real dilemma, when you have to choose which winners jacket you want to wear all weekend!

I agree with just about everyone in this thread. The LSX Shootout is about showcasing the nastiest LS1 cars in the country. Who cares whether its a race car, or a show car than never sees the track! There was a crowd waiting to see Mark make a pull on the dyno, and thats what the event is all about.

I tried it out as well, but had valve float issue's so I was way under powered.
It was fun though.! Congrats to the winner!

The rules are the rules for now but they are :gay: for the normal off the street guy. Average joe that is a weekend racer?? What keeps the sport alive??? there were 120 or so true street guys/gals . How many drag radial cars? The weekend racer not the big dogs. Just my thoughts

Half of "race-ready" boost, and only spinning to 6k rpm.
