Hello everyone, I am a 1st time user to the site. I have an 04 cts-v and seem to be having some transmission issues sometimes it wont let me shift into 5th or 6th gear but if i down shift and try it usually it will work im only seeing the isue get worse. Maybe some new tranny fluid is in line. Any suggestions? please give me some input. I live in WI and noone has this car so i get no advice.
Also ive already replaced the rear diff and motor mount and front strut. Is this car notorious for breaking or what?:ripped:

Sounds like it could be a syncro issue.

Whats a syncro issue imply? like a rebuild and 2 grand or more?

If you pulled the tranny shouldn't cost more than 1k for someone to rebuild.

Call D&D in Michigan. I've got some friends who have had some bullet proof 6spd trannys come out of there. Any built tranny will cost you no matter where you get it from. Some places are more than others and price also depends on how much power you want it to reliably hold.

I give you props for springing for the Recaro option in the V. I've yet to see a car with that option yet, but boy does it look worth it!
