My brothers got an 1986 Z28 Tune Port Injection maybe Iroc-Z, were confused. Were both stumped because we have both seen Third Gen Camaros with a distinctive IROC-Z badge were a Z28 badge would normally be on a Z28Camaro. Then theres the Z28 Camaro with Z28 badges in the normal places, but it says IROC-Z in Big letters across the doors. My Brothers camaro has been re-painted twice, once with the previous owner, and my brother has had it repainted once also. Ive ran the VIN number but it still doesnt tell us if its an IROC-Z. I know that the optional IROC sport package was offered 1985-1990 for the Z28 Camaros but dont know what year the IROC-Z emblem was offered as badges v.s. the big on door graphics?

Just found a thred that said all 85-88 IROC-Z had it on the doors with Z28 Badges on sides and rear bumper. My Question has been answered.

Actually, 85-87 had Z28 on the sides, rear bumper and dash. Decals would be at the front of the doors.
88-90 had IROC-Z on the sides and rear bumper, but Z28 remained on the dash. Decals were moved to the rear of the doors. There was no Z28 88-90.
if you open the glove box you will find the ROP sheet and if you see the b4z you have an iroc (for later rocs z28 is the code)
Didn't they say Z28 on the dash with IROC-Z under it? Its been a long time since I've been in a IROC but I could have sworn the emblem was like that.

The badge on the dash in the 90 IROC cars was yellow, FYI
