what's up guys i have and o6 goat, and i just go some pacesetter lt headers. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to making this an easy install?

Pay someone.LOL Many write ups on this it's not the most easy nor for the faint of heart of the wrench. Look out for the power steering lines to the rack it's a really tight fit to put them back on. Some have dropped the front end out to make install easier. I have a pair of JBA shorties I picked up on a trade if you get disscouraged.LOL

I did mine in a gravel driveway last year around this time. It wasnt bad. The hardest thing is the rack and power steering lines. Everything else is simple.

When you install the header do them from under the car, it makes life way easier.... Make sure you reconnect the stearing lines before you tighten the headers up....

Quick tips that may make this easier for you.
1. Soak all bolts with PB Blaster the night prior to removal
2. Pick up an extra 02 sensor in case one of the OEM sensor's is cross threaded.
3. Use OEM gaskets for best results.
4. Secure the steering wheel (ignition lock or bungee cord).
5. Mark steering rack alignment with an awl/screwdriver - it will help with proper alignment when you bolt it back into place.
6. If your headers are coated, wrap them in plastic wrap (available at Lowes). This will help keep the coating from getting nicked up during install.
7. A crowsfoot wrench (16MM & 19MM) are handy for the PS lines
Research first, take your time, and enjoy!

I put both mine in from the top in my driveway on jack stands at 2 am its easy

+1 on the crow's foot wrench and good assortment of wrenches, sockets, extensions, etc. Lots of good direction on here and other sites.

Both in from the top here. No messy disconnecting of the PS lines. It can be done.
