Since we knew there would be a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, the public has been pleading and demanding a ragtop version of the new muscle car from Chevy. There have been a flurry of artists renderings and speculation about what a convertible Camaro would look like, but on November 3, 2009, we will not have to guess anymore. DropTop Customs of High Springs, Florida did an awesome job of showing what could be with the Dodge Challenger convertible, and the SEMA Show will bring us the unveiling of the DropTop Customs 2010 Chevrolet Camaro convertible.
All we have now are the pictures provided and ordering information, so there are only two sure things – 1) the Camaro convertible looks great in the pictures, and 2) the conversion from sleek hardtop coupe to sexy drop top ‘vert will run you $18,000 USD on top of the cost of the Camaro. You would think that the fact that DropTop is already taking orders for the Camaro convertible before the public has even seen one coupled with the fact that those folks are willing to essentially pay 50K+ for a Camaro convertible would show General Motors that there is a good reason to offer factory Camaro convertibles.
