Dyno & Bench Racing Forum - Forged LS6 800+ RWHP NA??? BS!!

OK, So this guy I work with claims that his 01 Fbody with his newly built LS6 is making 800+ RWHP NA. Now I have kinda been outta the game for a few years being happy with my MS4, Heads and other mods. But I raised an INSTANT BS flag. Am I wrong or is there just NO F"ing way your gonna pull 800 RWHP outta a 350 LS6. Just Checking. Thanks Guys.

While it's possible, it's probably not likely as a 346 making that kind of power would need to turn well over 10,000 rpm and cost over $50k. If it still has cathedral port heads and a factory EFI intake, he's pulling your leg.

there is a way to prove him wrong .... check his car to make sure there is no power adder then offer him to pay for the dynorun + a full tank of pump gas to go to the dyno with the guys and prove it

hes full of it. And the dyno offer is worth a try but guys that make up those kind of #'s have an excust to get out of every chance for someone to prove them wrong. I would ask him who built it, specs, and details on it. does he ever bring the car around? should have a big $$$ sheetmetal intake among many other things. sounds like you have the ultimale 1upper on your hands though.

Absolute BS on the current supplied info. As many others said (PAT G for one) it would have to be high $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Maybe its an ls6 block thats been resleeved is running the maximum bore/stroke, but even then whats he got a 427 at the most ? 800 rwhp from a 427 is HUGE stretch too. Have you ever heard the thing run? It had better sound like a nascar, and should be running a solid roller cam with huge compression and a heads and intake that will compliment the setup. Calling bs for sure without more info. Even 800 hp at the flywheel. BS.

Total BS. Open the hood and check the setup; if you see a black or grey intake and GM heads, hes probably like at 400rwhp loll. Just ask how high he revs..7000 and under and hes lying.

We are still getting hard time getting 450+rwhp on budget setup..

By the way tell him a rebuilt LS6 is more like 347ci ;)

Setup a grudge match at your local track. There is no shame in losing to an 800rwhp in your 467rwhp car. There is a lot more shame in loosing a race to your 467rwhp car after running his mouth the way he has.

You can assume that only 1 in 10 built 347's is going to make much more power than the setup in your signature. My guess is you have a good opportunity to make him eat his words.

Ask him what size injectors he has and what fuel system he has. Can't make power without fuel. Figure on 63lb injectors to make that much power NA.

If I remember right, Jud's original max effort 427 made 756 crank horsepower with a fast manifold and a ported o.e. head.

Guess I wasnt specific bout the Cubes, my bad. No Stroker motor. 350ci LS6. Forged. Through a 12bolt. Im where you guys are. I dont see any way possible. Said the whole setup ran him 12K installed. I was just making sure that I didnt miss some crazy power advancement technology while I was idle on my modding fever. You know how money is these days. Thanks Allot guys.

Maybe he's using some kind of metric hp that we're not aware of. :D
