Cadillac CTS-V 2004-2009 - Third Brakelight??

I have a 05 v and the third brakelight on the trunk does not work. I was wondering If it lights up and how to fix it. pulled it apart but the unit was sealed. how do i go about getting it to work??? Also i have a little tiny box on the bottom of the dash that has a little green light that stays on when the car is offonce the car is started the little green light goes off. there is a little toggle switch on the back side of it. Any ideas what it might be???

That does not look like stock equipment. As far as the third brake light, those are sealed units and it's probably gone bad. If you want new, call Luke at Lindsay, otherwise check on ebay, I see them there from time to time.

Yeah, definitely looks added on. Follow the wires and see where it goes.

wonder if it is some sort of remote start peice? i have never seen one before but mine sure doesnt have it. like someone else said, follow the wires and see where they go but a little weird. maybe contact who you bought it from.

yeah that little box might be valet mode or some sort of aftermarket alarm equipment. flip the toggle and see if is lights up on ignition off? could also be a decoy to look as if there is an alarm. the brakelight is probably bad like others have said. where do you live? someone might live near you and have a warranty who would be willing to swap for their functional brakelight for a couple $'s lol.
