i have an 00 ws6 and am looking at doing a mild cam up grade. eventually id like to do and agressive head and cam package but until the funds come in, id like to get a nice mild cam that will give me more power but not require a head change. any thought on a reasonably priced cam..... any one have one for sale??

I would do all your bolton's first rather then do the cam. Look at headers, LS6 or FAST intake, and a good catback first.

+1 with what's said above and do it all right and all the first time and be done with it.

a mild cam will not give off any extra power unless you have a supporting intake and exhaust.

if i were you, i would collect all my funds and do full bolt ons plus aggressive heads/cam when the time comes. you do full bolts ons now, youll just have to remove it all when you do your heads and cam.

well currently i have a SLP LM1, FAST 90mm TB, SLP lid, tune and am looking for either a ls6 intake or FAST here on ls1tech. so for now i just want a decent cam until i save up for a agresive head and cam package.

A FAST 90mm TB won't bolt up to a LS1/6 IM so if you have one sitting around it will sit until you get the IM to match.

Headers are the biggest single mod that will help a cam. This really should be your next move.

Any cam worth installing will also need springs and a retune. Even a mild LS6 cam needs LS6 springs but you can get by W/O the tune cause it's so mild (not worth the trouble installing IMO). Following the advice you have been given will save you time and $$$ from doing some things twice and the feeling of phuck why aren't I faster......

Just be patient and do things right as you can afford them. Good luck and have fun with your modding.

This is exactly correct.

Follow this advice, and you can't go wrong.
