My stock speakers and amp are trashed, I dont have the monsoon system.

I plan on upgrading the system ten fold, in a few months.

But for the winter i want to get a decent system in there.

I was thinking about getting some monsoon speakers and amp.

my question is, Is the wiring the same? will i have a problem plugging in the monsoon amp and speakers, and running them with my HU.

Thanks.

not worth it at all, gonna need harness and the what not, its not a plug and play install by any means

oem system wiring goes from radio to speakers, in monsoon it goes from radio to back of car for monsoon amp, then to speakers

If you have a factory amp in the passenger side rear wheel well, then you have a Monsoon system. If your car came with steering wheel radio controls, then you have a Monsoon system. No ifs, ands, or buts. In fact, since you have a 2001 Trans Am I think it might even be technically impossible for you to have a base sound system (4 speaker).
