View Full Version : Kinda upset with OE Wheels

About 2 weeks ago I called OE to order a set of wheels and tires. The sales rep I dealt with was Shawn. I told him what I wanted (by name) and he asked me if I had the item number which I didn't because I was at work and am not supposed to use the internet. He couldn't find the wheel even though I told him Exactly what it was called and the size.
He then asked what the cost was. I told him, and he then assured me that there was No Way I had the cost right. I then (risking my boss being pissed) got online and found the item number in about 20 seconds and gave it to him. To his suprise I was correct.
We then worked out the order including tires and lugnuts. And I gave him my info.
Today I called to check the status and he cant find my order, and as it turns out my credit card never got charged.
So now I don't know what to do. I think the wheels are great, but don't know if I should bother re-ordering. I mean, the ball was dropped 3 times. (1) cant find his own part number (2) doen't know how much his products cost and (3) never processed the order.

Let me follow by saying that I'm not hopping mad, but dissappointed and wonder if others would be willing to spend their money with someone who had done the same. I don't know if I am... Then again I really love the look of those C6 Z06 wheels .

:( Well after some talking with others and not getting a reply back from Lance' I've decided to go elsewhere. I won't spend my cash with a company that works that way, and doesn't care if they lose my business or not. Granted $1300 isn't much to a wheel company I guess, but it's alot to me.

First of all let me apologize for what happened. Sometimes the owner of our company reduces the pricing to the extent that it is almost unbelievable to our employees! Regarding the card, it is often that fraud protection has a daily spending limit on your card so it didn't go through. You should have been called back regarding this, so you could contact your bank. I'd also like to apologize for not getting back to you. I have transitioned most of my forum duties to Scott who is one of our sales technicians. We must have been confused as to who was handling this. LS1tech customers are not only one of our biggest markets, but it is the first customer base that we have let be involved in the direction of our designs. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Well thanks for getting back to me at least eventually.
It is a little too late (kind of) I have already made a purchase. Only Because I LOVE the look of the wheels, I did call again and bought the rims from you guys. I did decide not to give you all my buisiness, though I know it would have been easier, I got tires somewhere else just for principle.
