Has anyone modified thier in-tank pump (or pumps) to accept AN fittings? If so, do you have any pics or a DIY thread? Or does a company make this already? I want to remove the hardlines and use bigger (like -8 or -10)braided lines to the fuel rails.

No one has done this? I find this odd.

If you get a "Y" and it comes in 1/2 PCT you can screw in a 1/2 PCT to -8an bulkhead fitting and run a new -8an line under the car.

When we set up the fuel system on my friends malibu we used hardline to An adapters from summit. You slide a nut onto the hardline, flare it, then thread the An adapter on the end.

I am talking about where the plastic fittings come out of the fuel pump bucket. I'd like to have those in -8 and then I go from there. Are we talking about the same thing? Also, what is PCT?

We have factory quick connect fittings to fit the plastic nipples out of the tank. With our testing the factory outlets flow well over 1200rwhp worth of fuel so no need to change to -8 at the tank as long as you use -8 feed line for the volume. Our Stage 3 Street kit has made 1098rwhp.

I think what you are talking about is not possible on a std. in-tank pump. The outlet of the pump is a plastic nipple that you have to hose clamp fuel line to. I don't believe there is a way to run -8 line directly from the pump itself. I have an inline pump on my C10, but the electrical connections and feed are different than an intank pump so I don't think it could be adapted, not to mention you would still have to figure out how to mount a pre-pump filter.

The easiest thing to do is cut and flare the factory hard lines for AN fittings before they make the 90* bend. I personally used the adapters and they work great, but there isn't enough room on a F-Body IMO for it to be functional as it's a HUGE PITA to work on if needed.

Ok, that's what I was beginning to think.

So I get these fittings and they connect to the nipples (i do love me some nipples:eek2:) on the factory tank and then I can run -8 from the there to the rails?

perfect. I looked on your site and couldn't find what we were talking about. I'd like to get these fittings.... do I need to call you or can I do it online? If online, can you give me a link to it?
