Hey i just got a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro 35th anniversary bone stock, no upgrades...but has new breaks and new tires.

I looked up on the internet and it said it has 200HP stock which is what i have. I can put like $300 into the car for upgrades each month. So i was wondering what add-ons i could get for my car to boost its performance to make it a 400+hp car

First i would like to add some MPG then add the bolt ons.

The part name brand does not matter nor the price, just want decent reliable parts that do the job well. Any suggestions? would be appreciated if u add the cost of the parts so i know a ball park range when i buy them so i don't get jipped xD

its a v6 3.8

posted this once b4 but in wrong forum xD

If you want a 400+ hp car your off to a bad start by not buying an ls1

Try going to FullThrottleV6.com

They're going to be much nicer than "buy an LS1 car" ;)

Plus you'll be able to see their builds and you can be the judge.

Good advise.. besides that though, look into cold air intake, and exhaust.. chea and easy upgrades..

What he said. Or twin turbos!?!?:eek2:
Turbonetics are a good brand. But be prepared to upgrade other parts as well and to spend some cash.:D

instead of spending a whole lot of $$money, save up for a ls1 crate motor, engine swap,

If you can afford to spend $300/mo for mods, you could have bought a LS1 car and had monthly payments for half that.

The point to purchasing a V6 is to save money -- or so I thought. Good luck on your build :|

Agreed. My 98 Z28 gets 30mpg when I am nice to it. =]

Do a lid, K&N (or similar) filter, Flowmasters (or similar) performance exhaust, and all the free mods you can do. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Als1tech.com+free+mods&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS330US330&ie=UTF-8

Congrads on the Camaro. Any Camaro is a good camaro. I had v6 camaro's for 7 and a half years. I enjoyed them but it was a bad move. Keep your camaro for as long as you'd like but don't put mod money into a v6. Go LS1. I've had a lt1 one for over 3 years and i just got a LS1. It is the way to go, and the way to gooooooooo............. John
