Chevrolet Camaro 1967-2002 - Need to know hood markings on 98-02 Camaro SS Hood

All,

Can some of you that have factory 98-02 SS cars with OEM hoods check your hood for any kind of markings it has on it?

I am looking for a replacment hood for my 99 SS and want to be able to verify that what I am buying is a factory OEM hood before the purchase.

My OEM hood has 3 markings that I can find all in the center of the hood behind the ram air channels (near the windshield):

1) "SMC"
2) US PAT #0886467
3) Made In Canada

I just checked mine and it's the same as what you have listed with the exception of the patent number. My patent number is 0386457

I'll upload a few pics, it was hard as hell to get a clear shot of everything but after some editing they stand out somewhat.

My patent # wasn't as clear as yours. Well, that's 2 of us with the same markings. I'll ask folks for these markings when looking for a replacement hood.

If any of you check your hoods and don't find markings, please post to this thread if you get a moment
