Drag Racing Results - Baseline run for my stock lt1 6sd camaro

It has 130k on the clock, full weight, 1/2 tank of 93, and hard street tires. Now that my excuses are out of the way...critique my run:

60'-2.38
ET-9.33
MPH-79.8

It was about 60 degrees out and not sure of the DA but its on a plains region between the mountains and coast of NC, so that didn't hurt my time. I did however spin pretty bad in first and when I caught 2nd. My tire pressure was 22psi in the rear and I tried to leave at 3 grand slipping the clutch but it started spinning so I feathered it till it caught then mashed it. I speed shifted 2nd and 3rd @ 6 grand.

Not bad for stock .Its always good to get a baseline 1st . You definetly need to hook better . 2.3 60ft sucks :eyes: My A4 w/2:73's and stock converter just went 2.04 60ft on street tires . I know a LT1 with a 6 speed is a differend animal though .

My old 93 T/A A4 ran 14.1 with a FM muffler. (only mod)

yea I believe I've gotten better 60' times out of my sohc 1st gen neon...spinning. So I figure with some new shoes next year and maybe a gear, it should run what it's supposed to. Your 2.0x 60 is about as good as I've got out of my ls1 cars on street tires. On MT ET Streets I've pulled some 1.7s with the ls1 cars so I know these tires are hurting me. Your 2.0 60 is actually pretty good for 2.73 gears...what does it run in the 1/4....1/8th?

the best i ever got was a 9.2 out of my lt1 bird m6. all it had was k@n fipk and flomaster muffler, that was on 19" rims w/ 2.2 60ft. you just need better tires and some headers

oh great..I ran with a car that has 19" rims on it..now I feel better..lol
yea some tires are definately in order

not bad but damn put on some 16's or better yet some race wheels 15s and a slick

stock 10 bolt with the stock gear equals slicks not happening..lol plus its my dd so prolly won't see alot of money spent
