New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - 243 with stock cam questions

ok here we go I have an 02 ta that has the following mods

slp loud mouth
slp lid
slp smooth bellow
free mods
came with an ls6 intake

this is what i have waiting in the garage for it

hooker super comp headers
uncatted y pipe
3600 stall
ls6 heads with sodium valves
roller rockers
3:73 gears
ws6 wheels with drag radials

ok here is my question my roommate moved out and now i am paying double my normal rent and i really dont have much money left for a cam. I will be tuning the car at livernois sometime this winter(already have that set aside) or early spring now my question is will my car put out decent power without a cam and with the ls6 heads? will this combo run decent times? I know i wont hit 11's but mid 12's would be awesome. also what kind of hp/tq numbers could i possibly looking at? thanks in advance

What do you run now? If all you want is mid 12s then you should only need the stall. Sell all of that other crap.

car should run mid 12's.....the gear/stall/243/full bolt on is goin to be a nice combo...cam it and 11's are yours.

1. find new roommate
2. save money
3. ?????
4. Have a badass heads/cammed/geared car running 11's

Don't install them 243's and not change that cam. Too much work. . As allan808 said , at least search for a good used cam , if cash is tight.

Like others have said, you don't need all that stuff for mid 12s. Here is all you need from your list (in addition to your current mods):

hooker super comp headers
uncatted y pipe
3600 stall
ws6 wheels with drag radials

I'd wait to do the heads until you have the money for a cam. And if you want low 12s, go ahead with the 3.73s and the tune.

figure the heads would only gain you 10-15hp on a stock cam.

all those mods installed, with a tune...you should be hitting 350rwhp no problem...likely more.

are the rockers 1.7 or 1.8 ratio?? honestly...sell those and put the money towards a cam. roller rockers do very little on the lsx motor...some cost power.
