I been having problems with my '01 camaro 3.8.
It sounds like its cranking but motor won't turn over.
I had a shop replace the crank position sensor, ICM about 1.5 years ago because it had problems starting and stalled at a light. This ICM lasted 1 year.
About 6 months ago I was having same issues and followed advice here on 'tech and it was the ICM at fault again (failed the test at auto zone), I replaced it.
Yesterday Same issues started all over, the car actually turned off while i was driving. I am gona take out the ICM to test it today, but I wanted input on what could be causing these ICM's to go bad???
I mean there has to be a bigger issue?
Both of these ICM units were purchased at steinway autoparts by a brand called "standard". Are dealer parts any different in quality?
