I already have a Torquer V2 Cam 232/234 .595 .598 112LSA and I want to put it in my new 6.0L with L92 heads. I've read that L92 heads sometime don't work well with cathedral ports oriented cam. L92 will be fully ported with ported LS3 with around 10:1 - 10.5:1 of compression.

Do someone had tried this head/cam combo or have a opinion about this setup? Thanks

Don't know about the V2 but there is a guy on the GTO board that did very well with the Torquer V3

Are your L92 heads stock or ported? For a stock head, the V2 would work better than the V3 because in stock form the heads don't flow as well up there at .650" lift, so the lower lift is better suited to the heads. Ported heads however (or at least the PRC porting) will flow better at .650", and your cam should be designed with a bit more lift to get the benefit of that extra flow.

Yes ported heads with # around 350cfm @.600 & 230cfm @ .600. They are still unported, do you think its better to run it unport with the TV2... or with only a valve job? Compression will be around 10:1

For a stock L92 head, the TorquerV2 is a decent camshaft....that being said, it is not the optimal choice for those heads. So if there is money in the budget for a cam swap, you could sell that cam and be out very little from your pocket, and get a camshaft better suited for those heads.

best option for your money is to get the heads flow benched, then send the flow card to texas speed, or somewhere like that and get a custom ground cam to match your heads, thats where you will save the most time

It's pretty well known what the stock L92 heads flow, so that's not a major concern or reason for the OP to spend more money for flow testing. That is, of course, as long as they are stock unported heads.

I have a TV2 because it was in my LS1 with PRC 5.3 stg 2.5 but it blow. So now I have a 6.0L LY6 with L92, but i want to reuse the TV2 temporary because I'll build a 408 with a custom cam in the futur. I wanted to know if the TV2 will perform better with stock or ported heads. Currently they are unported and they flows :
.100 - 75cfm - 56
.200 - 151cfm - 115
.300 - 214cfm - 155
.400 - 268cfm - 182
.500 - 294cfm - 202
.600 - 320cfm - 204

but I can port it by the same guy who test it, he reached 356cfm at .600 on a other set. Hand ported, old fashion guy!

I had the T2 in my LS3 vette for a while. It made something like 465hp/440tq at the wheels with all of the bolt ons. It peaked under 6000 rpm if memory serves.

Works nice, very torquey aswell. You can keep comp around 10.5:1 with that cam and run 27 peak timing. Some people run more but you start to get a lot of negative torque before they knock with those heads.

I think I'll port the heads, mill them .030 to have at least 10:1 of compression. With my ported LS3 intake I hope for 475rwhp but with the 9in I don't think I'll reach my goal! Thanks for reply

My 465 at the wheels was through 4.10 gears on a pretty stingy dyno. Similar set ups can get close to 500 at the wheels on manual tranny LS3 vettes with stock rear gears. Regardless of the numbers you get on the dyno, your car will run strong. You'll like it:cheers:
