Conversions & Hybrids - LS1 RX-7 dies at idle or very light throttle

I converted a 94 RX-7 to a 2002 LS1 and T-56. Mods are fairly short. Long tube headers, LS6 intake and that's about it. Problem is that when the car is running at idle or very light throttle it will randomly just die. Once in a while the rpms will drop to 200 and shoot back up to 2000. The can has not been tuned in any way. At med or heavy throttle the engine has no issues. Any ideas?

Unfortunately the mazda A/C switch doesn't drop to 0V when its off and I haven't put in a resistor yet for the ECU always thinks the A/C is suppose to be on unless there is no freon in the lines. IF that could matter just thought I'd mention that.

Oh also sometimes after it dies it will sometimes start right up and others takes a little effort and when it does take an effort it runs like ass until I shut it off and start it again.

Did you do a case learn?

I thought about the angle sensor. Any idea how much they run? And what exactly is a case learn? Please keep in mind that it didn't start doing it right after the swap but only a month ago.

Clogged fuel filter, low voltage, bad ground, sun spots.

Get a scanner on it, we can't determine much with random guessing.

You are probably right about the sun spots :-)...... I have 8AWG grounds at all corners of the engine and average voltage with A/C and headlights is 13.2V. I have an SPA gauge for it so its quite accurate. I was stuck in stop and go traffic here in Hawaii and it was a nightmare. Died on me about 4 times. One time is was difficult to start and after it did would surge to 3k rpm. I killed it right away and restarted and ran just fine for about another 5-10 min. I'll try to pick up a scanner tonight OR buy one of the tuners not sure which I should do yet.
