Texans @ Colts Upset game of the week for me. Colts should win... but I wouldn't be surprised to see Houston walk away with a win here. Colts almost dropped one to the Niners last week. At home no less. Not to mention... the Texans have shown moments of quality this year. Owen Daniels is having a great stretch as of late and Shaub is getting it done as well.
Chiefs @ Jaguars

Panthers @ Saints
Lions @ Seattle
Titans @ 49ers

8:00p Game
Cowboys @ Eagles Easily the game of the week. Gotta go with the Boy's on this one... I just can't get the fact that the Eagles lost to Oakland out of my mind. Plus, the Cowboys are playing good football right now. Miles Austin is turning into a promising young playmaker... And no one is happier to see him doing what he's doing than Romo. He needed someone.

its easy for us to get that out of our heads....its called a 40-17 thrashing of the Giants..there, forgotten.

the cowboys have issues in the secondary...they've been there all year long. should be a good game...but if the same Eagles team that showed up against NY comes to play, i see them suffering the same fate as the giants just did.
Eagles have been up and down all year....hopefully these last 2 weeks jump started their team and if thats the case...they are dangerous.

The Cowboys vs Eagles game is a tough call. I am a Cowboys fan, but the Eagles are a pretty good team. If Romo doesn't choke, I think the Cowboys will take their win. It all lies on him in my opinion.

i think the way that the Texans have been playing i think they have a chance in this one so i'm gonna go with the underdog here. The thing is is I really like the Colts so I'm choosing against a team i normally go for:) Also i really think Carolina's got a chance to beat the Saints as well. I'm still not convinced with Dallas. I think the Eagles have the better team there. I went 10-3 last week so we'll see. i may change my mind. I think the big upset is gonna be the Saints/Panthers. Gonna be some good football this weekend too.

Oh absolutely the Eagles will be able to throw some points up on the board. The Cowboys, like you said, are weak in their secondary this year. The thing is, so can the Cowboys. Their offense is looking decent right now. The game is in Philly though, definitely a plus for the Eagles.

You really can't brag about beating the Giants though, other than the fact that it's a divisional game for you guys. They are not a good team this year. Their wins have come against Washington, Dallas (They were really struggling at that point of the season), Tampa, Kansas City and Oakland. They would lose that Dallas game now. With the exception of Dallas they've beaten teams with a combined record of 5-24 (.208) Not good.

Just depends on which Philly team shows up. They've been very good this year, and very bad... Flip a coin man lol.

the eagles and dallas game is hands down game of the week!! the eagles are always tough at home. but dallas has been playing very well. the offense has been putting up almost 30+ points a game. and the defense has been getting sacks, and interceptions..as of late the secondary has been doing well at shutting down big play making WR like TJ, and roddy white..

Dallas is only getting better with every game... I can't believe the lack of respect the BOYS are getting... I'm quite happy with their play right now.. They can't be stopped offensively and will lead the division in no time at all.. Looking like a serious playoff contender right now...Loving it...

Eagles have played very well in every game with McNabb with the exception of Oakland. They have faced two top defenses and walked all over them both. Dallas has struggled to beat several struggling teams. People keep bringing up that Philly lost to a 2-4 Oakland team...but forget that Dallas essentially lost to a 0-4 Kansas City team that Philly destroyed one week later. They also lost to the Giants who Philly just destroyed...remember that Dallas lost to a Giants team that was without it's leading pass rusher and two best corners. Philly beat that same team bad with those key players healthy. I see the Giants being the best gauge of how this game will go since Eli played very poorly in both games.

No doubt, if Philly shows up (and they always do in division games at home), it's going to be a bad night for Dallas.

the dallas run game racked up 250 yards rushing on the giants.. and romo gave the giants 24 points off 3 Interceptions and still had to lose by a last minute field goal. how did dallas essentially lose to KC? its gonna be a nasty game, and i cant believe analysts on nfl network are picking other games for game of the week.

It's all about which Tony Romo shows up.. Lately the good Romo has shown up in games and not the evil on... Dallas has a big potent offensive line that blows up Defensive lines which open holes for the running backs.. Hence the great running game, when Romo is throwing to his recievers and tight end effectively and not turning over the ball you have a football team that can beat anyone. Also the Cowboys are no longer creating the early season mindless fouls like false starts, imcroachment calls, delay of game calls, etc..

The Dallas Cowboy Defense also seems to be improving, the secondary is so so, but the rest of the defense can play..

The Cowboys are alot like the Saints and Vikings right now.. Great offensively and just good enough defensively to beat teams..

Now how is Philly going to beat the Boys if Romo plays well? I don't see it happening, I can see a high scoring close game perhaps..

Dallas has played solidly in two games now...against two teams with losing records. They are light years from the level that NO and Minny are playing. No comparison...either of those teams would put a hurtin' on the Cowboys.

I just don't see that anyone can say Dallas is a good team all of a sudden because they've played two solid games in a row. This is still the team that needed a miracle play to beat a team with no wins, and this is still the team that has ONE win against a team with a winning record.

No question, if both teams play their best, Philly wins. Right now, they are the better team without a doubt. However, they are only slightly more consistent than Dallas, so I give both teams an equal chance of forgetting to show. Also, if Dallas wins this game, it's because of Jones and Choice, not Romo. Dallas needs to run against Philly...if Romo is forced to get it done in the air, Sheldon Brown and Asante Samuel will catch more of his throws than Miles Austin or Roy Williams.

Cowboys have won three straight games in a row by large margins, one being a spanking over the 4-1 Atlanta Falcons.. Not so sure you are giving them enough credit for their recent good play.. I think they could hold their own with anyone in the league right now and we will soon see about what the Cowboys can do against this hit or miss Philly Eagle team..

Yes, I am riding this Cowboy band wagon right now as I picked them to win their division before the season started. I remember I got laughed at on this forum for saying that. My crystal ball doesn't lie..

The Boys are taking this division, and it starts with a next game victory over McNabb and the Eagles..

You have a very impressive selective memory.

Dallas won two straight games convincingly (in the second half). Going back three games they were nearly handled by winless Kansas city. Pulled that one out by a lucky score on a miracle play.

You got laughed at for good reason. Your crystal ball lied to you last year, and if you can think back to that time, you'll remember that I was the one who correctly called the Cowboys season at 9-7 before thanksgiving. Trust me, I know your team.

YOU are giving the Cowboys too much credit. They have alot more proving to do before anyone can start to talk about a playoff appearance, let alone an actual playoff win.

Dude, your ruthless in your assessments of the Boys. Bottom line is, wins are wins.. Three in a row in the NFL is a sign of good things to come for any football team.. I always believed good teams find ways to win, and bad teams find ways to lose.. The Cowboys are winning and that's good enough for me..

I still can't believe the Giants are falling apart like this..Now that is team that is going in the opposite direction of the Cowboys.

So you really think the Eagles are going to beat down the Cowboys on Sunday night?

I can't believe you're not even giving dem Boys a chance to win this one? Really, who's going to stop that Cowboy running game and Jason Whitten? If Romo is on again Philly is in trouble.. McNabb is playing well and that's why I think it will be a close game.. Philly simply doesn't have the D to slow down the Cowboys for four quarters in this one.. The second half of games have been the Cowboys strength of late, that is a very good sign of a strong team.. They are building confidence and momentum big time and that can be a scary thing.

any Given Sunday friend....im sure you've heard the term. they are all pros and all have the potential to beat anyone at any time. Eagles plain stunk that day...it happens.

its all fine and well that you guys like defending the Cowboys...its common nature, they are your favorite team, but you're not lookin at it rationally and the numbers dont lie. im not gonna sit here and start a pissing match with Cowboy fans cause i deal with this crap all day long in person and dont need it here aswell. ill say this....prepare for the worse. last years Cowboys were alot better than this year and that still didnt stop the Birds from throwing up 40 something points on them in route to the playoffs. point is, when any 2 NFC east teams go at each other, you better forget what happens the weeks prior b/c it aint gonna matter. they play each other differantly.

my prediction...Eagles take it 32-24.

true, any team can win on sunday!! whether dallas or philly wins the season isnt over. there is still over 7 games left to play. heck, just over 3 weeks ago, most teams were up 3 games in there division and now most are maybe 1 game up now.

i think its funny that dallas haters think dallas lost to KC..LOL..thats like saying the colts lost to the niners, or the broncos losing to the Patriots.. this dallas team is alot better than last years cowboys. they are not explosive, but shit dallas has put up almost 30+ points in all its games except the denver game.

There is no such thing as gimme games in the NFL.

Blakbird24

So you really think the Eagles are going to beat down the Cowboys on Sunday night?

Nope. Don't get me wrong, remember i'm not a blind-biased eagles fan. What I am saying is that the Eagles have the edge...they are a better team right now. IF both teams show up and play 100% full out, Philly wins by a score and possibly just a little more. I'm NOT saying that you will see a 44-6 romp like the last meeting. It's possible, but unlikely since Dallas has since developed a solid running game...they didn't have that last year.

The Cowboy running game has gone up against two top-ten run defenses. They lost both of those games. Philly will really only be the THIRD good team they've faced this year. At this point, you can't say with any certainty that they can manage a defense like Philly has since SO FAR they haven't. More important is the pass attack. Philly racks up points FAST against weak secondaries like Dallas' 22nd ranked unit. The Cowboys aren't going to be able to put up points fast enough on the ground to keep up...they are going to have to do some passing. Romo has a terrible history throwing into the Philly secondary...it was bad with Brown and Sheppard. It got worse when Samuel came to town. Together, Sheldon Brown and Asante Samuel have more interceptions than any other TEAM this year. They got those against GOOD QB's too. IF the Cowboys play this game the same way they've played their "strong" games this season, it's not going to be good enough. One TD in the first half won't do it when Philly has been putting up 20-30 pts by halftime. Doesn't matter how good of a second half they have if they start it down by 20+ pts.

I'm not going to sit here and say Dallas has no chance. Philly can fall apart with the best of 'em. But, I am going to suggest that Dallas fans go into this game humble and wait until Dallas is up at the half to start talking smack.

Only game that matters

Steelers fall to the BRONCOS

Broncos got murdered after a bye week of rest to the Baltimore Ravens last week... Pitt is alot like the Ravens and are now playing better of late. Pitt is also coming off a bye week of rest this week. The steelers will be ready and fresh.

I see a losing streak coming up for the Denver Broncos unfortunately.. Pitt will get after Orton and jack him up.. Orton is finally showing his true colors against the better teams that offer up a decent pass rush..

Kyle Orton sucked ass in Chicago. People don't change over night, Ortons been living the dream and now it's time to wake up and smell the dump floating in the toilet. He's been doing well only because the Bronco OL has really given him protection and time to camp out and pass the football in the pocket.. Not happening against the Ravens and Steelers teams.

Perdiction Pain!!!!! My money will be riding on the Steel curtain on MNF..

1:00p Games
Ravens @ Bengals
Dolphins @ Patriots
Cardinals @ Bears
Redskins @ Falcons
Packers @ Bucs
Texans @ Colts
Chiefs @ Jaguars

4:00p Games
Panthers @ Saints
Lions @ Seattle
Titans @ 49ers
Chargers @ Giants

8:00p Game
Cowboys @ Eagles

MNF
Steelers @ Broncos
Interesting games for sure. I think the best game of the week will be the MNF game. At mile high on a monday night with really good football teams. After being embarrassed last week I think Denver really gives Pitt a good game.

Other hard game is the Titans and 49rs. Which team is gonna show up for both teams?

Cowboys & Eagles will be good but I think the way that Dallas has played the last two weeks really shows they are coming together as a TEAM. Roy shouldnt of said shit to the media as he is finally on a WINNING team and should just let shit go. Really stupid of him to do that this week for sure.

Ravens & Bengals could turn out to be a GOOD game. Bengals have been the Ravens 5 out of the last 8 (I think thats right) and they are starting to gel as a team as well. If the defense can get to Flacco then the Bengals will have a very good day.

Ravens have been playing better of late. This is going to be one hell of a game. The more I think of it I really don't know who will win this one. Ravens have shown they can ball right now, Bengals are at home and are having a good season.. Flip a coin I think in this one..

Texans have been legit for the past two years. Last year they just got screwed thanks to both Tenn and Indy being in their division.

However, Indy is going to pull it out.

Bengals victory was impressive..

Greenbay Packers, oh those poor cheese heads. I can't believe they came up short against the winless BUCS.. This must really be a low point for the Packer team and franchise.. Sad..

The Titans really handled the 49ers in SF.. Shocking...

Well it was weird actually.

Going into the game, I expected to see Dallas run all over Philly with their run game, and Philly to fly down the field in the air. All in all, I figured it would be a pretty high scoring event. Instead we had Philly running at will on Dallas, and Dallas passing successfully into Philly's dangerous secondary. Too bad the refs outscored both teams. Worse for Eagles fans - they donated all those points to Dallas.

Possibly the worst officiated game i've ever seen...in ANY sport. Even after Reid had the refs take another look on TWO different calls, they still stuck with the bad spots. I counted 5 bad calls where the camera showed indisputable evidence against the call...two of those resulted in points for Dallas. It's a shame when that happens in high profile games like this, because i'm left unsure of what to take out of this game for both teams.

i thought you talked all that shit how dallas secondary is ranked 22 and cant stop desean and romo will be scared to throw and now you make excuses.. bro, romo came through with the clutch throw to austin who " shook your corner bad" for the TD and romo with a clutch throw to witten to ice the game.. Spot calls are HORRIBLE to challenge. The coach wins something like 14% of them. That was just dumb by Reid to use both challange and last TO on the 4th and 1. If he didnt and even if Dallas scored they would of had plenty of time left. Plus, it was dumb to kick that FG. Why? Still got to score a TD to tie/win the game why not keep the drive going.

Officiating wasnt that bad. There were some no calls both ways as well as some questionable ones.

There were bad calls both ways. Its easy to say that the refs won the games for the Cowboys, but the Cowboys were the better team tonight.

Its great to see Romo connecting with Williams. There is a great offense coming together for the Cowboys. They are developing a very well offensive team, and they will only get better.

wow, thats pathetic. thats all you could come up with?

reid was an idiot for challenging either of those plays. the first one was 100%, without a doubt not a first down, and if anything it should have been moved back almost a full yard. witten did the same thing in the first quarter. came back to the ball and ran himself out of a first down. the second was 50/50 but theres no way you win a challenge like that.

and as for bad calls, there were bad calls for both teams. how bout the non-pass interference call against roy williams at the end of the first half. or the pass interference called on jason witten on a 3rd down play when the defender initiated contact within 5 yards. there were plenty of penalties that killed cowboys drives and maintained eagles drives, so get over yourself.

and my last point. the eagles "running at will on dallas." really? thats what happened? they couldnt convert on a 3 and 1, or 4 and 1, three times. and false started another 4 and 1.

TXZ28LS1

:( :( :(

romo and the cowboys have beaten another team with a bird.. so you can add falcons, seahawks, and eagles..LMAO!!

I'm not going to brag. I'll just say -

HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!

"Andy Reid fail" going for that field goal with no timeouts left at the end of the game. The game was over then and there and Andy Reid had a huge brain fart. What was he thinking going for a field goal down seven with only 4 minutes to go knowing Barber and the big Cowboy OL was just waiting to run out the game after? Not having Westbrook really hurt the Eagles too.

You mentioned that they barley got by good teams, the Colts who many think is the number 1 team have barley got by two loosing record tearms and then the Texans who are ok.

Every good team right now is playing jokes... someone who is not sold on Denver can't really be sold on many other teams......... how many good teams have the colts played this year? Im a Denver fan but still hoping they don't choke like they did last year but then a lot of people will never be sold, they could be the Colts coming up or win the rest of their games and people would still blow them off because they are not the "typical good teams".

Everyone allready knows who will be in the playoffs and who will win the division or at least most of them and nothing will get interesting untill the playoffs. Denver like the other good teams have a pretty easy rest of the regular season...

Look at the colts schedule for this year and Denver's schedule and tell me who by far has the easiest season this year :)

I think they have potential to beat the top teams right now. I don't think much of the Colts, and am starting to think the Saints are a little over rated. I think right now the toughest game for them would be against the Vikings. Still, I was laughed at but it's all now within reason. The Cowboys got a ways to go yet but they are starting to play winning ball.. Romo has settled in now and he is not making those silly early season turnovers. The team has cut down on mindless penalties as well.. They are playing with intensity and confidence.. Reaper, no new NFL week 10 pic thread?

What's up? You are keeping NFL alive and well on this forum.. Don't quit on us now bud..

DENVER - Yes it's the way they lost the last 2 games that leads me to believe Denver is starting to fold like a cheap suit.. Kyle Orton is really starting to screw things up.. His early season adrenaline rush has officially worn off.

I believe in this team now.. I picked them to win their division before the season started and even picked them to make it to the superbowl finally this year.. We will see as it's still too early to think superbowl..

Defense is coming around.. Their run and pass game looks to be solid. Etc..etc..

Oh happy days for this life long Cowboy fan!!!!

The road ahead of you all aint the easiest. You all still have the Chargers, my Saints and the Eagals again. Now the Chargers and Eagals are at home but the Cowboys have to come here to N.O. to play the Saints.

The Saints game could get ugly for the BOYS.... Chargers are hit and miss, I think the Cowboys could get the Chargers in that one.

You are right about those games. Tough games for sure.

The Pit game was faily close..... it was not a complete blow out... I don't think you can completley compare the two.

I like the Saints but I haven't seen them play in everygame this year..

Can someone tell me what their strengths and weaknesses of late.. I know Drew Breese and the offense is just vantastic. The Saints defense from what I've seen has some concerns. Is that fair to say?

No it wasnt. Denver had 3 offensive points. They couldnt even get in the red zone the majority of the game. Pit outplayed them all around. Then when Mendenhall got the ball in the 2nd half it was over because apparently Denver stopped playing defense then.

well dallas has to play washington 2 times which is probably the worsest team right now, and the raiders.. no reason why dallas couldnt get 11 wins. the chargers are somewhat hit or miss. the chargers run game hasnt been too strong.

which goes back to my point.. with the last few games going back to the dallas game, until now, they have only averaged 10 points.. your not gonna win alot of games with scoring only 10 points when your QB is kyle orton, and your rookie running back " NO SHOW" Moreno or buckhalter dont do anything to help the team..LOL. thats why i said, im not buying into the broncos at all.

Its not really Orton. He moved the team up and down the field and what he needs is a damn running game. You can make any QB in the league look bad when the offense is one sided. The Broncos running game has disappeared in the last 3 games. Thats why they have been so bad lately.

Orton is horrible..

I watched him throw mindless interceptions last game. I remember his sorry play in Chicago too. The Denver OL was giving him time to throw the ball, but he would just throw an egg and get it intercepted out of no where. The dude is crap...

How can you look at the final scores of both games and say that they are both blow outs? Come on dude.

In the end points are points.... does not matter if the D scores them.

Our running D hasnt been the best lately but our pass D is still pretty good. Our pass rush has been down lately but one of our best D lineman has been out recently, He should be back by the end of this month though so our pass rush and run D should be complete like at the start of the season again.

Pit 28 Den 10
Balt 30 Den 7

10 offensive points in the last two games. Thats pretty pitiful.

They were blowouts because of the way Denver played. In Balt they were never in the game. The second half against Pitt they just never showed up. It was pitiful. 27 rushing yards against Pitt and 66 against Balt. You can not win games with those kinds of numbers. Pitt and Balt blew them out.

^^ That's right, football on Thursday nights now... Excellent!!!

Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers.. Tough game to pick actually..

Lets see the 49ers have now lost 4 in row and all against pretty good teams.. Back home now for this game and they really need this win..

Chicago Bears on the other hand have not faired much better of late. Lost some tough games also against good teams..

Probably picking the 49ers at home in this one... 49ers defense should prevail in this one maybe..

Agreed?
