Not Allied International Credit, the legit collection company.

These people call asking for you and include your middle inital then say "this is so and so from allied credit on behalf of Key Bank, for security purposes can you verify your SSN".

They first started calling years ago but I no longer have a student loan with Key Bank and when they called last I did not either (consolidated my loans with another company/bank). I ussually just let it ring (cell) and they call from multiple numbers and all the time but the times I have picked up I hang up when they ask for the SSN.

I did a Google search on the first humber and it seems quite a few people get calls from them and sometimes just ask for the last four of your SSN, when you say no they offer to give you their number to call them back, well I have called it just for the fun of it and a recoding says "On behalf of Key bank thank you for calling Allied Credit, please stand by and a representitive will be with you shortly" Or something really close to that.

I went to file a complaint with my state Attorney General's office but the online form is just for home phone's..... not cell's I am going to call his office in the morning and ask about this.

Bellow are the numbers they call from,

800-432-0201
800-292-2100
888-794-3284
877-321-4542

Anyone know anything more about them?

No but I know alot of companies will stop calling you if you put yourself on the "master" opt out list for trans union. its worth a try.

anyone asking for your full ssn is most likely a scammer.

If you have a legit account with someone sometimes they will ask you to verify the last 4 numbers.

I got a letter in the mail from my bank asking if I wanted to opt out... when you call it asks for you SSN and all, I was going to go to my bank and ask if it is legit.
