Hi guys wondering if anyone else has had this problem. If I drive my car in the rain, water starts coming in from the anchor bolts on the seat belts. For right now its only on the drivers side and its really bad like small pond. The previous owner must have known about it becouse there is dryer sheets under the carpet to cover up the mildew smell and rtv around the bolt and hole.
I went to gm and they do not sell the floor piece any longer and was wondering if anyone might have one of these or has replaced this before.
Thanks.

Are you sure one of the rubber plungers is still in there??? If you look there are several different ones through out the floor pan, get down there and check to see if one is missing in the general area of the "pond" lol...

sounds like whoever had the car before may have had a problem with water getting in the car and removed the "plug" in the floor pan and never put it back. Theres no other reason for it to not be there. Look under the carpet where the water will pool and see if it is there. If not, you should be able to get them at autozone in the "HELP" isle and pop it back in there and that should fix your problem.

You can the seat belt bolts out ad put some silicone on them then put them back in. That could eliminate this problem. I know when I changes my carpet the bolt have some kind of rubber substance on them from the factory

Previous owner tried that, but it still leaks.

mine did the same thing on the passenger side... i thought it was my t-tops, it wasn't. i used some latex paint with a rubber type additive it was for garage floors and slapped it over all the holes put the bolts back in and no leak since.
