Tools & Fabrication - was wondering

has anyone cut their mufflers off and have the stock y pipe and converters on i have a exhaust comin in but wanted to try this before they came on so does any1know if it sounds good or just worrible and if i cut it pro be rite when the pipe starts to bend over the axle

Please don't do it, sounds horrible! I tore my I pipe off the y-pipe pulling out of my father-in-laws steep ass driveway. I had to drive it home 36 miles listening to that racket. I even got pulled over for it. The officer said it sounded like a motor boat coming down the highway.

it doesnt sound horrible or have a ratle to it..i cut it off rite when the started to go over the axle it sounds the same as when idle and when get on it sounds louder but not loud loud

Just do it.

It sounds nasty but just do it if thats what you want!!!!! haha
