Street Racing & Kill Stories - Mercedes ML63 AMG picks on lowly GTO.

So Im driving home from work when one of these things go by me then slows down and nails it beside me. There was traffic so I didnt/couldnt do anything really. The guy keeps doing this a couple of times and I finally slow way down to let traffic go on by and to my surprise he slows down a little also to stay with me. I have it in second gear and was just praying he would try that shit again. Well he gets beside me and I kind of blip the throttle to see if he will go which he does. I hammer down on it and pass by him with my rear sliding sideways all the way through second and go into third but hes already behind me and looks like he let off, I guess I scared him. :rotflmao:

Anyway I pull along side him again and motion with both of my hands out with palms up for him to take the hit and to my surprise its a 50 + man and his wife. WTF!! Anyway she kind of laughed and looked back at him and said something and then they fell way back. Guess he thought he was driving a land rocket.......

Good Kill OP! Hard to keep track of what AMG is fast or just fast because they made so many different variants over the years.

ML63 is a 500hp 4800lb SUV...Of course you should have beat him; maybe he was just wanting to have a little fun?

I have a HARD time getting anyone to race my Benz...apparently most people think I'm just a guy with too much money driving like an idiot; rather than a gearhead who wants to play.

They're nice SUVs (even though I don't like their styling much).
They are about on-par with an SRT8 Grand Cherokee, mid to low 13's at around 105-106.

Thanks guys I had never seen one and had to look it up when I got home. It has a 6.3 L making 510 hp and is AWD and Car and Driver got a 13.2 @ 105 mph out of it. Didnt know they even made a SUV AMG that was on par with the SRT8s but thats exactly what it is, minus the $90,000 price tag.

Yeah, honestly it's pretty badass for an SUV. Of course you can whip it...but on a rainy or snowy day....just wave to his tail lights! LOL.

Good kill! I never really noticed the AMG's until recently, but now that I do, they make some badass cars. Bit out of my price range though, haha.
