Eastern Members - 1st annual 4th gen fest JUNE 2010! HELP!

Ok guys, I was speaking to alot of you all, and the adivce sank it! The FBODY event is going to be help this June. I am taking it alot slower then before, and its going to be a great time becuase I have so much time to prep, get you guys to help maybe.. get head counts.. and so on... I am shooting for june or july. I am going to have at the event;

Food
drinks
DYNO rental
music

all i know so far is its going to be june or july, its going to be on a lot of land near me so we will have plenty of space. I am located in Newport news VA.

I /WE, have about 6 months or so to plan. Any people wanting to help in the local area please PM me. Members in other cities in VA, if you gather people out there , please PM me and let me know so so i know. Anyone that has any advice, or maybe wants to go in on this with me to make it bigger and better, please pm me. we have plenty of time. 4th gen fest is going to be great and im hoping to get alot of shows, and help. The date has not been talk about. I am meeting up with a local today. The guy out here with the dyno I'm getting with sometime within a few days. Once this meeting with the 3 of us is over I will post updated info. I am looking at july 16 or 17. Fyi.. and its for sure going down! As long as there are now 3 of us.. were good with dyno, food, stuff like that.

Just need input on food ideas..beer brands etc...

Just to protect yourself, I'd get a certificate of liability from your insurance company for the event, and with Alcohol, i'd say BYOB, if you provide/sell, you need to keep underage drinking to a absolute minimum.

Otherwise the idea is sound.

If this gets big enough, you could get local resturants to come out and set up stands and let people buy from them, and get a cut of the sales. Or provide your own.

How many people would be down to cruise up , and hop on a ferry durring the cruise? get some arial pics n stuff.. we did alot of talking about the cruise. I would like to post more but thats what i got for that. as far as the land lot i see you talking about.. I am going to have to look for soemthing bigger becuase this looks like its going to be better and bigger then we thought. I don't know how well a event with beer and cars will work out. May raise a few eyebrows with the local PD. May want to do the first one without just to see how things go.

sweet. be advised: location is going still being talked about. around the end of march,begining of april i will start needing head counts.

I still need food ideas from people. please post ideas for foods so i can have alittle of everything! i have local food joints already down with this so.. were good to go. there WILL be a dyno there. I am looking at having 4th gen fest in HAMPTON, at a local tuning shop. good area w/land.. plus the dyno will already be there.(and other things can be done to if you need them done!!). but..everything is still being planned so.. thanks for the patients!

Just got your pm's. I hope to have a significant number of 4th gens going with me, but at least 8 should cruise. We were all looking foward to Myrtle Beach F-body week for 3 months and 2 weeks before the event, EVERY sponsor dropped and technically cancelled the event. I heard there were still a few groups showing up but it was a major disappointment. I hope this works out.

ohh it will. i have a good number right now so its looking good. the only thing that can stop this is if the world ends!
