Conversions & Hybrids - need an extra computer

I have a rock crawler with a tuned 2001 LR4(4.8L LS series engine). I need a backup computer for the trail. I've run in to a few experiences where the system shuts off my fuel/spark when I hit really hard. worried it is a bad connection in the computer.

What computer should I look for? I only need something that will get me home in limp mode. I have an aftermarket trans so don't need computer control to manage that.

here are the #'s on my computer, what should I ask the junk yard to match?

i would just ask for a 2001 4.8 computer for a 5 speed truck. Its either that or buy a ECU and have the transmission tuned out.

I bought a 2002 Silverado 1500 5.3/4L60E ECU 2 weeks ago from LKQ for $65

I can get a computer for ~$40. just need to make sure I'm getting the right one.

so a computer for a manual trans will be setup w/out any validations? one with 4l60e tuning won't go in to limp mode?

You would still have to have the PCM tuned since it is going to have the VATS enabled and the engine will not run.
