Got this on trade for a 1996 cavalier i had. I posted it on craigslist and the same day they wanted to trade. It was not in running condition the passlock system was all screwed up so it couldnt start. Was selling for 900 but woulda went all the way to 500. I just wanted the car gone! Got a phone call, offered me a brand new Springfield XD 40. Loving it.
got 2 boxes of bullets, 3 mags, it just felt like a good deal to me i had just wanted the car gone

Personally I really dislike guns and the use of them and definitely wouldn't trade a car for a gun... I'd have thought the car was worth more anyway. :P

I am jealous :( I want a .45 compact so badly but I don't have the cash for it right now.... well I do I just can't spend it on a gun right now lol. I was looking at the XD's, M&P's, and some of the Taurus models. Congrats.

I can't see the pics at work, but I also have a XD-40. With the ammo and extra mag you are are at about 500-550 if you wouldve bought it on your own so you did OK on the trade :) I love my XD. :guns:
I filled in the letters on the slide a few months back and it came out looking awesome..

why? the XD line has been through the same torture test as the glock 22, except with about twice as many rounds fired, and came out just as well. they are both great handguns, between the two of them it really comes down to which feels better in your hand :hijack:

some consider the XD to have copied the Glock, I just give XD owners shit since Im a Glock fan. I will admit I do like how the compact XD feels, feels A LOT better than a Glock compact IMO (big mits..)

i just wanted the car off the lawn. its been sitting there and i didnt wanna mess with it anymore. i like the feel of this. i had been looking at glocks but after a bunch of reading you really cant go wrong either way

i prefer the XD over the glock because of the design of the gun. If you hold a XD and then hold a Glock you will see the difference. Looking at a glock from the side, you can see the grip is basically 100% perpendicular to the slide, but on the XD line, the grip isn't - it is angled more.
So, for myself, when I bring the XD up from my side up to aim, i dont have to adjust or more much. But for the glock, i have to adjust my aim quite a bit compared to the XD
