i have 2001 camaro ss and i am removing the motor next week to do a build up and i want to make a engine cradle to set it on since i have all this metal laying around. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the measurement for it or if you have any blueprints like how wide does it have to be and how long it has to be and where the mounts hook up like i said any info will help thanks

that would be a great idea but i will be taking the pan off so no go for the tire lol

just an idea if u know anyone with a bare block make ur motor mounts with the arms coming off it bolt it to the block then measure ur distance and build the box to that

thats what im looking to do. if this doesn't work

do you know if there is any difference on a old chevy 350 bolt pattern and mount location cause if there not i have another block but it from the 80's camaro out of my 88 camaro

Simple...

Make a set of plates... pick your design:

Bolt the plates to the block. Bolt some flat plates to the back where the bellhousing goes.

Now tack weld some of your tubing to the plates. Unbolt the tacked assembly, weld it up. Done.

Or just go buy a $40 engine stand and $3 worth of long M10x1.5 bolts and get on with business. :lol:

If you just need to set the block down, you can with the pan off. It has studs sticking out of the main caps.
