I have decided to return to a stock hood. I think I have a replacement lined up so I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in buying mine. Here is a picture. Obviously dark green and it is fiberglass. I paid about $500 new several years ago.

There are a couple defects to note. There is a small (dime size) area of the paint which lifted with a small crack next to it on the passenger side edge behind the headlight cover. Also the driver side mounting bracket tore out 1 hole. The hood strut still holds it up fine with one bolt. There is also the usual stone chips accumulated from daily driving.

I would assume someone would buy this and repaint so the paint defects would easily be fixed during that process. The tear out could be fixed if it bothered someone enough. I was quoted $75-100 but decided not to since it did not effect the function.

Would like to get $125. I live in Wichita Kansas. Based on the replacement hood I plan to buy figure $100 for shipping.

More info: I would try to ship via greyhound shipping. So make sure you have one nearby to pick this up. For Red97 the shipping fee is about $67 to go to Houston which I think is nearby. Figure additional money to track down a box and packing material is where I came up with $100 to ship.

I am going to check out UPS freight per a suggestion and see what I can come up with.

I appreciate everyones interest but just want to take a minute and clear a few things up.

I put this up as a feeler because I am not quite ready to take this off my car. I need to get its replacement finalized and on the way. Probably at least a week or two.

As for shipping I cannot get an accurate quote. I plan to go with Greyhound shipping. Might check to see if you have a station nearby. I checked into UPS shipping and it is outrageously high ($200 range). If you have a different shipping idea I am all ears. So best I can tell from the various zip codes people are sending, frieght will cost between $50-$75. I need to figure in additional money for a box and packaging. Thats why I said $100 to ship. So just count on the price being $225 shipped. If for some reason it is way higher than that we can work that out later.

I am selling this with the expectation that it will be repainted because my color green is not very common. This would take care of the lifted paint area, stone chips, and overall lack of great prep work when I got it painted in the first place. If you don't intend to have it painted please request pix/extra info so you can be clear what you are getting. Also note that it takes some work to get it to fit correctly. I can help guide you through that as well.

Thanks again.

Mike
