Manual Transmission - How can i tell if i have a hurst?

I have a 2001 trans am firehawk. The guy i bought it from said that it didn't have a hurst shifter, he just put the "H" knob on there. But i read somewhere that all 2001 m6 cars came with a hurst shifter. If i don't have one, i want to go with the hurst pro billet. I don't want to buy one if i already have a factory hurst. Can someone please clear this up for me?
