Just like the title says...and be realistic on what you would spend. Carb?, EFI?, turbo?, blower?, nitrous?

Thinking of building a base 408 as a starting point, maybe using the best of what the General has (LS2 heads for example...the usual offerings) and mix matching to get a decent engine while stuffing it with Scat internals (at least the bottom end will be bulletproof) and a killer camshaft

Your thoughts please!

I would love to see a really high revving (8000+) twin turbo motor.

Perhaps a 5.3L. Smaller Turbos for really quick spooling and then a decent amount of power.....

Generally 5.3s are most affordable. Im putting a H/C 5.3 in my c10 for next summer, then doing a small twin turbo custom kit for it after I do the frame of next winter.

a 408 with a nasty cam and some TF235's on a 250-300 shot well atleast that's what my plans are.

i alredy built my affordable ls engine. and has around 40k miles on it now.
490rw with cast pistons, stock rods,crank,
and upgraded unported oe heads,ls6 intake

LS3 with some cubes, forged bottom, great flowing heads, awesome turbo cam, and compound turbos, giant intercooler, progressive meth and some N2O through the turbos!!!

i realize its not exactly what you're asking for....but


i'd love to see a head comparison on a decent sized stroker.

build the 408 with a pretty healthy cam and say...stock 243s for heads.

then swap out and dyno each set of heads:

AFR 205s
AFR 225s
TFS 215s
TFS 235s
ported 243s

keep everything else the same...except the tune of course.

see how each head affects low/mid range power, peak power and things like that.

its a comparison i've never seen on a stoker
