this one is $35k, and just a regular 95 black T/A with supposedly 5k miles on it. judging by those side shots, my 127k T/A with original paint on the sides is in a LOT better shape

i mean just look at the door, wtf?

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/ritthalerj/IMG_0373.jpg

it's not even fully optioned since it doesn't have the GU5 3:23 axle

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/ritthalerj/IMG_0393.jpg

and for being such a low mileage car, the engine bay is filthy

The white one is worth it, its a brand new collectors edition! If it were 6 speed i'd buy it! The black one, i dont know whats up with the paint, it definitely doesnt lok like only 5K

Maybe someday it will really be worth 35k but not today. Im sure someone with more moeny then sense will buy it for 35 though. Id give him 10k. And the average girl ordered 94, Id give him 5k lol.

I doubt in 10 years. Maybe 20. A 300 mile 85 Trans Am is worth no where near $35k today.

It's a classic car so I'm not surprised at the expensive price tag, looks nice for a 1994 car as well.

Very (very very) few 4th gen cars are going to appreciate in value. I suspect this one won't. Bad investment.

Thats funny, I don't hear anything from your car... maybe has something to do with the fact that i can only see it in the rear view. :engarde:

Even at $35k (which they wont get) no one has made anything on it. It was probably bought for around $20k or so after tax and license.

-$20,000 Purcahse
-$Annual maintenance, storage and insurance costs
+$35,000 fifteen years after purchase.

3.8% return if annual costs were zero, 1.5% with annual costs of $600 and 0% with annual costs at $1,000 (which is still under a hundred a month).

Of course its probably a bit more skewed than that, with the previous owner taking a huge bath on the car by selling it to that showroom. Or they are selling it through the showroom on consignment which after seller fees will still leave them with a negative return. Idiots.

There is no way the black one is only 5000 miles, more like 105,000 miles from the looks of it.

Holy CRAP! That's where I purchased my WS6. Nearby there is a Lamborghini dealership that I stopped by and checked out. Had a few Ferrari's, Lotus's and Bentley's.

That black car is hurting for a detail job, looks like it's never been waxed. Plus it has goofy plaques in the interior. That white TA looks great going by market value, I could see it getting $15-20K at the right auction to the right buyer. Firebirds historically aren't high valued classics, a few models make the exceptions list. Look at 2nd Generation Trans Ams, it wasn't until recently they started fetching decent money, the last 5-7 years they have almost doubled in what they sell for. How ever they were behind the curve. If you compare 1st gen Firebird prices to 1st gen Camaros, other than the 69 Trans Ams, the Camaros do a lot better.

sorry, no 4th gen is going to be worth anything for a long time. every once in a while theres a CETA that will pop up with like under 500 miles and that would eb about the only thing id consider spending that much money for a 4th gen on.

That white one has been for sale since before I bought my car over 2 years ago.

Damn, even though it's overpriced in my opinion, that Anniversary TA would look NICE sitting in my garage. People would want to kill me, though, because I'd probably throw some bolt-ons on it before I hit the 1,000 mile mark, and right after getting some baselines on the dyno and at the track...

at first glace i thought the traffic light in the background was actually the honduhs wing. and wasnt surprised at all.

as for the white TA, id give it a solid 25K at most. 35 is way overpriced. it takes a good 25-30 years for ANY kind of car to appreciate in value. 10yrs ago, late 2nd gens werent that expensive. i got my 78 (then 21yrs old)in very solid shape for 5700. now, 10 years later, (the car being over 30yrs old) i know i could get an easy 9K for it, considering i fixed some body work, new carpet and headliner.
