My local track is closed for the season but I will be ready to play next year.

I wish I would of got these 2 weeks ago so I could go play at the track.

I have $300 in the tires, wheels, mounting & balancing.

I have 275/40/17 MT drag radials in front & 265/40/17 Goodyear F1 in the rear on OEM Mustang 17x8 Cobra rims. I plan on putting these on my Wife's 06 Mustang when we take it to the track as well.

Tires don't rub, I have less torque steer than with my other tires & the car handles even better than it did before. It's going to be a long winter waiting for the track to open.

They don't. They have 5x114.3, we have 5x115. They're close enough to use though, I have 16" Muffstank wheels for my BFG DR's.

I'm guessing me and OP are the only people that actually like Mustangs...

No I got 05 Mustang GT. I like GXP better tho. But Mustang is a Sports car. Fun to drive. Will have to look into Stang wheels to run at track. Good info.

Watch the tranny bud....good grip up front like that is asking for an input or output snap
but good info on the cobra wheels...

Is the wife's Mustang quicker than your GXP?

0-30 my Wife's Mustang might be quicker, it has 4.10 gears in the rear but after that it's all GXP.

I raced a 2010 Mustang GT a couple weeks ago. He got me off the line but by 50mph I could see the GT in my rear view mirror.

Now my Wife is looking at getting a 2011 SS/RS Camaro with an auto tranny so I might "need" to get a turbo for the GXP.:D

I don't hate all Mustangs. Fox body and newer I would drive an SVO, Mach 1, or a brand new GT.

I could have bought a '10 GT for 25K... If I hadn't wrecked the GXP, I'd have gotten it...

So what kind of 1/4 mile times did you run with the M/Ts on there?

Haven't ran with them yet. The track closed for the season on 10/31 so I just missed out.

I got a 13.8 with a 2.2-2.3 60 ft on stock tires so I'm hoping for a 13.4 or better with 1.8-1.9 60 ft.

Just driving around & playing a bit she's a beast with these tires.

I'm running 40s so I have a little more clearance. I've driven over a 100 miles so far without a single rub. I drive alot of hilly curvey back roads instead of hwy. Takes about the same time to get to work/home but is so much more enjoyable.

I haven't put a load in the car yet but with a big load the back tires might rub unless you put some bags in the springs.
