New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Frosty/wet windows

I hate when this happens to my car in the morning. Anything to avoid this from happening (besides putting it in the garage)?

If the moisture is on the inside and its very bad, you need to let the car air out during the day. Let her warm up and blast w/ the defroster. I know, it sucks, I have a loudish exhaust too and in my neighborhood, it is an issue. :bang:

If the loud exhaust is an issue, I can buy your catback from you :D It is encouraged where I'm from haha.



But yeah, not garage here. In fact, I am going outside in 3 minutes to start my defrosting process to head to work :( The winter time is no fun!

Move to a warm, dry climate. Problem solved. :)

From the time I start my car to let it idle down to normal and wipe off the windows is just about perfect. I keep an old towel/t-shirt behind my drivers seat and wipe off the side windows/mirrors enough to see out of and the sides of the back glass so I can see for lane changes. Defrost alternating with heater in the mornings after I pull out of the driveway. It's a b&*#$ but you get used to it. Happens for about 5 month out of the year where I live. <3 Humidity

when i live in Missouri if we had a ice storm i would put cardboard on the glass ;) or a sheet

Rain-ex helped a lot with the morning dew in FL.

The issue I have with the towel is that it leaves smudges that you notice at night when you get glares from other cars.

I use a California water blade to remove the condensation off my windows in the morning, takes a few seconds and works perfectly, no smudges. I dont drive the car in the winter though, so idk what would work for frost. Though this isnt a way to keep it from happening... it is a quick way to get rid of it after it happens...

I think I read here on this forum years ago that if you put vinegar on your windows that they wouldn't get like that in the morning.
