Sorry to be posting this(happy to be here still) car got totaled hit a pole and a equinox I was ejected

I hit a puddle hydroplained saved it then lost it and hit a pole then got rear ended I got ejected though

NO I always wear my belt in the fomrula this was one of the few times I didnt if I did have it on i'd be dead

What makes you say that? Doesn't look like there's a particularly large amount of damage done to the passenger compartment.

I highly doubt you'd have died man. I have seen these cars torn up worse than this & passangers not die. It looks like you would have just had a really sore neck & back after the hardest impact from the rear. Theres no evidence of roll-over so your probably lucky as hell you didnt die being ejected.

That really sucks man, sorry to hear. At least you're okay though, that is pretty lucky. I was going to offer to buy your catback (if you had one) but I can't seem to even find your exhaust in the pics :(

I agree, these cars can take a hit and the occupants be ok, I only broke my ankle and wrist when a girl lost control and slammed into me going 50+ mph, miss my GTA, it only had 40K original miles :(

windows were down I think I may have gone out the passenger door because there almost no way in hell to got out the driver side since I had boots on

did you hit the puddle on a turn? The results are pretty obvious if you did, or did you hit the gas / brake while going through it? Braking or hitting the gas usually results in a rear wheel skid...I always let off the gas when im hydroplaning. Check this writeup out

OP - sorry to hear about your Formula. In regards to insurance, this is a unique situation.. It may end up where each of you will simply deal with your insurers separately since it seems like there isn't really anyone at fault here..

I really gotta stop this song now. It's way too addicting

because I slide into the pole and got ejected then a lady just plowed into my car at 50. it happened monday and im out already I think a 50 MPH to me back end with the airbags already deplode would have broke my neck

Maybe a severe case of whip lash but I doubt it would have done more to your neck.... kissing the steering wheel would have hurt also if the seat belt did not grab. It looks like the car absorbed most of the hit and did not even push the red end forward and the other car crunched up a lot also so even at 50mph is is not as bad as 50mph in even say a 96 car...

I have not heard of many fatal wrecks with the person wearing a seat belt with them stoped or close to being stoped and being hit from someone else. The only times you can say the belt is what killed someone was when the belt cut them in half but if the wreck is that bad then the ejection would have killed them.......

My dad got t-boned by a lady doing at least 50 or so a long time ago and was in a 70's Porsche.... He was wearing his seat belt and walked away from it and that car is about half the size of yours........ google Porsche 914....

Regardless it is a good learning experiance for you.. years ago I thought my 86 Camaro in the rain could handle like an F1 car.... I ended up cramping it over a curb and rimping out the y-pipe and bending the front wheels so bad that one would not hold air at all. I take things nice and easy threw the rain now.......

Your puddle must have been a big one on top onf I bet you were on the gas a little to much........ either way live and learn.

^^ I did the same as above. Had it in my mind my car was unstoppable, ended up in the back end of a parked car after cutting a tree in half.

Now with the new car, I drive it quite a bit easier on the street I must say.
