Hello,
I'm new to ls1tech. just looking for good info. I just got a LY5 5.3L engine/4L60e combo out of a 2008 gmc 1500 sierra with 12,000 miles. I plan on putting it into my wifes 1985 cj8 build.

Awesome man. Welcome to ls1tech. I believe there are a few threads in the conversions forum about this type of swap. I've been trying to talk my brother into doing the same swap on his cj scrambler. You just cant beat the power, economy, and price of these motors.
