The kit isn't too much about 500 for the oil pan, mounts, headers. Srj u can do wiring too no? And if I don't sell mine ima put my 5.3 in it.

Yeah, I can do the wiring, as long as I have a diagram for the S10 wiring to know what to put where. That would be a bad ass S10! I really want to swap one into that, anyone's.

Um...no, but for swaps that I'm interested in doing, I will charge less.

Come on Trent...you know you want to pick up a 240sx or 280z roller and swap this in with a cam, bolt-on's, and a stall. Sleeper status!

Why do you need the s10 wiring diagram if your swapping a completely different Engine/PCM?

so all the gauges inside will work like stock.

Your retarded jose. That still dosn't answer the question.

then why else? like how i was gonna do mine. i was going to get an fbody engine harness and mate it to my impala chassis harness. and everything will work like stock. i dont see why else he would need a diagram for. im sure thats what he did on lees car.

So I know where to wire the PCM power feed, PCM ignition feed, fan relay controls, Inj/Coil bank 1 fuse feed, Inj/Coil bank 2 feed, engine sensors feed, oil pressure sending unit signal, Alt voltage signal, ect signal, tach signal, vss signal, etc. to get everything powered/grounded properly (using the stock fuse box) and get all the gauges to function properly. Of course I could build a stand alone harness, but I'll try to keep it as simple as possible.
EDIT: Yeah as Jose said, using a LS1 harness and properly connecting it to the S10 chassis harness and fuse box.

Then you need the wiring diagram for the PCM your using not the diagram for The S10. Trying to splice wires this way is way more difficult since you need the correct fuses and circuits. It would be quicker getting LS fuse block and using the circuits your need.

I already have several PCM pinout diagrams, I know what all the wires are, just need to know specifically where they need to connect to the S10 chassis harness and fuse box. I like doing it that way rather than building using the LS fuse block. You only need (4) fused power feeds (PCM power feed, inj/coil bank 1, inj/coil bank 2, engine sensors {maf and o2's}). Then wire the ignition power feed to the PCM, wire the gauge signal wires to where they need to go, and wire the (2) relay fan controls to where they need to go, pretty simple.
When I said I need a wiring diagram for the S10, I mean where all the power feeds/grounds are and where the gauge signal wires are...

Lets say you swap out and ls1/pcm into a v6 04 S10.
The s10 has central sequential fuel injectors that run off a single 15a fuse, the ls1 requires 2 15a circuits one for each bank inj1 and inj2. Then you need a pcm B+ 10a fuse, pcm ign 15a, eng sen 20a, and eng control 15 (If Auto) for the ls1 pcm.
The 4.3 fuse block uses 20a for pcm bat and Iat, Eng1 10a for mafs, and clus 10a for ign and trans solinoids.
You will be having to add another circuit for the inj2, and splicing and switching fuses so you might as well just use a LS fuse block.

If your serious, Im down for $500 in parts! It was gonna cost me 700-800 for a trans rebuild!
And btw its a stripper model S10 2.2L 4cly

I was thinking just Tub the thing and go with some 15x12's
I got drums in the back.... and the 7.5" 10bolt curse.

Cuz honestly, who wouldn't race a shitty S10? even if it had wide tires......
It will be the most ridiculous thing ive ever fathomed..... But im think as long as the motors out should cam that thing.
But then what am i gonna have to get good mileage??? fuck.....:guns:

If you buy it, I'll help you swap it. There is more involved than just dropping it in. But since it's down already, why not start this. ;)
A 5.3 will get good gas mileage. You can put a small cam like a TR224 cam, bolt on a LS6 intake and that thing will be awesome!!!

Shit my moms 04 crew cab chevy would get over 500 miles to the tank when it had 26s. Now on stocks like 560. With the 5.3!!! The only thing that would suck is the 7.5 rear will blow out pretty quick.

How much in parts are we talking? And what are we charging for labor? Cuz this was suppost to be my parts running never wash get good mileage and go truck. Never wanted to do anything with it. Cuz it would take $ from going into my impala and someday my MCSS

And do some research u might need a new driveshaft like srj said its not just putting the motor in there. Also a new trans crossmember is probably also needed.

Post in the conversion/hybrid thread and ask about what's involved. Usually you have 4 major aspects to deal with for a LSx swap:
1) Fitment and securing the engine. Could require notching the k-member or a new custom k-member, custom motor mounts, custom trans cross brace, etc.
2) Computer and wiring, you might have to have VATS tuned out of your computer, swap harness, Fboy fuse box
3) Fuel, usually need higher pressure and usually need to convert to a returnless system.
4) Exhaust - you will have to find an exhaust that fits the body. However stock truck manifolds are very good manifolds as far as stock manifolds go, you can just use those.
EDIT - don't forget about cooling system too.
I am not trying to discourage you, just trying to tell you to do your research. For all I know it could be a simple swap or a very involved swap. If you were to get all the parts needed I'll do the labor for free.
