ok so apparently no one really wants to help.. the only thing i know is im going to use a lq9 block with arp rod bolts... i dont know of any other precautions i should take with the block... im thinkin of using the l92 heads after someone ports them.... i still dont know what intake to use though

Well I would check out the "performance trucks" tab at the top of the page. They might be able to help you out.

use the stock heads with aggressive cam, 230-240 intake duration.
if its a lq9, pull the heads, cut in relieves, mill the heads, gm .051 gasket.
shoot for 10.5-11:1 scr. the ls6 intake or the 90mm tbss intake will more than support 525bhp.
no need for l92 heads or intake in this case.

I would also use good hardware for your setup like arp head bolts or studs if you want the extra clamping force.

The PT tab will get you to guys that run trucks like myself, but I enjoy both sites equally. The main difference you will see is torque vs. horsepower...heavier trucks need more torque to move the mass (6300# in my case) than do lighter vehicles. Check out the build threads and harvest some ideas; No need reinventing the wheel
