I zip-tied my plate to my grill and I got it signed off. Don't know if that will always work though.

You can also use some 3M body side molding tape(wide works better), just bend the license plate to the contours of your grill and clean both off with some alcohol and your license plate will stick to the grill really good. That's how I mounted mine.
