Well to make a short story long... I am going to start trying to get my car (00 T/A) running again. I missed a shift years ago at the track and am fairly certain I bent some valves. After that I limped home and parked the car where it sat for several months (6-9 months) while I started acruing parts. Then I bought a new house and had to move. The car had a dead battery and would not start, so I hooked it to a charger and let it charge for several hours and it was still dead. Put the charger on boost 200-400 amp boost and tried again but got nothing but windows going crazy and an electrical burning smell. Ended up using a come along to get it loaded onto the trailer and relocated to the new house. After this I found out the battery had a dead cell, replaced battery and the car would start and run again (driver side window motor apparently fried though as it will no longer roll up). The car ran crappy but I assumed it was due to the still bent valves and old fuel. Couple months go by and the battery is dead again. Replace again (Optima Red Top) and it runs again. I run it every few months just driving it around the neighborhood as the inspection and insurance has since lapsed (car has not been driven regularly by this time for over 2 years). After a third red top has died even when being charged with a trickle charger, I start disconnecting the battery while sitting as it is obvious something is draining it. Then low and behold one day it will not start at all. Thinking perhaps i had finally run all of the old as hell gas out of it I add a gallon with some extra stabilizer as I know it will not run anytime soon. Still not go. Spray carb cleaner in the throttle body and it will fire and run until it is gone. Added some more fuel still no go. Get a fuel pressure gauge and as suspected no fuel pressure. Checked fuse in fuse box (good), swap the relay with 2 others (no change). Question is, is there any type of inline fuse or fuseable link or anything else other than the fuel pump that could cause 0 fuel pressure. Could the voltage spike when I tried to start it off of the booster have fried something in the computer causing the battery drain and eventually lost the signal to the fuel pump. I was going to be upgrading the fule system anyway (most likely with the Racetronix setup) but was not wanting to do that until after the motor work was done so it would not be sitting for an undetermined amount of time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
