So someone on caraudio.com got scammed in a trade.

If you need some time to kill, read the thread, as the story is unfolding as we speak!

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=443050

Cliffs as of no1: Guy got scammed and was sent empty package. People on the forum united and locals of the potential scammer stopped by the house after getting his info. As it sits now a forum member trying to help the OP may be the scammer that lives in the residence in the first place! (aka a grey subaru is parked in the driveway of the home, the exact model and color as the forum members, only to name one thing out of many...)

Interesting to see what people can do via the net!

I remember back in the day where Unit would terrify scammers and the like by slowly releasing personal information. Man I miss that shit...

Haha yeah these guys are brutal; they just released their personal info as soon as they got it! Got people to go to their house and take pics for evidence.

There's a surprise twist at the end of this one.

Page 42

Here's what happened

Guy sends subs off to trade to a guy who says he's on a trip and he'll pick them up in FL.

OP gets an empty box back.

A bunch of people start helping out. ONE OF THEM is the scammer who has the ops subs in his car! (Subaru)

The OP has contacted police/fbi, nothing happening.

The people on the board blow the case open with lots of pictures and even find pics of one of the scammers (there are two) with his gf on a trip (he's a mexican ish looking guy)

Now on page 42 it looks like the OP is actually working it out with the SCAMMER and the scammer is giving the subs back!

The scammer comes into the thread and says "glad we got this worked out" or something like that and now EVERYONE IS PISSED!!! HAHAHHA
:):)

The ops last words at this point are that his cousins are meeting up with the scammer to get the subs back. I'm hoping for something else..

So Scammer #2 is the one that lives at the house the box shipped to WITH HIS GRANDMOTHER.

Apparently he's 18 and has a parole officer and everything. It would be such an epic ending if a video is released with him getting escorted to a cop car!!

I'm so pissed the OP isn't doing more legal action. What an idiot, no wonder he was the one who got scammed.

You should see the people who scam on SVTperformance. They have ALL their personal information and pics posted withing a few hours to a day. Common and Txyaloo are the internet NINJA's and no matter what, they'll find sh*t on ANYONE.

How's it so easy to find information on people anyways? I would think it'd be hard, most people move around a lot, but i guess myspace and facebook can give a lot away.

Facebook and Myspace play a small role on how easy it is to require *important* information about people.
