After some long and very conflicted thinking, I have decided to sell my Firebird. I’m going to be buying the new Camaro, and while I would like nothing more than to keep this car forever - paying for, garaging, insuring, and modifying two cars just isn’t a financial reality right now for me. So I had to choose, one or the other.
Well enough about me. (You probably don’t care about that)
THE CAR:
Black 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula. 6 speed manual transmission. Cloth seats (Grey), monsoon stereo with disc changer, and factory alarm system. Clean Title.
Located in Fort Worth, Texas. You don't have to be local to buy it, but you do have to come to me.
92,173 miles currently – BUT at 86,000 miles I had the engine pulled and *completely* rebuilt from the ground up. The only things that aren’t brand new on it are the crank, the block, and the external covers. Full maintenance including 100,000 mi service was done as well, with Royal Purple, even though the car isn’t quite there yet. What can I say; I meant to keep this thing forever. Only issues are the auto up/down antenna is stuck in the up position, one of the rear speakers is blown, driver's window doesn't have a stop bracket (window works, just don't roll it too far below the rubber) there's a little paint streak on the passenger side door, and the left turn signal doesn't disengage by itself. That and it's loud as anything, and the dumps may (or may not) be an issue with your local inspection.
This is a fully built, forged 347 made (overbuilt) with the kind of premium parts designed to take whatever you can throw at it. There is over $10,000 into the motor alone.
Here are some of the parts and procedures that went into this car:

What’s it run at the track? I don’t know – haven’t run it since the motor swap since I didn’t fancy putting the stress on the rear end until I had the money to replace it in case anything happened. And I never did quite get to that point. For the most part, since the motor swap, this car's only come out of the garage on weekends for Sunday drives.
My loss, and your gain at $7,950. Note again that there's over $10,000 (!) into the motor alone, so you're looking at a real steal here. What can I say, I want a 2010.

I feel you on the car big time, just sold my trans am to my younger brother. Had the car for 9yrs and intended to keep it forever but marriage, house, school, etc changes your priorities financially. However, I would never cross over to the dark side and buy a camaro 2010 or otherwise lol, glws
