The M5Board (http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=39836) has some great photos from Spain showing an undisguised 2005 M5. Note that the "M5 Concept" that debuted in Geneva has a slightly different trunk and sideview mirrors. Additionaly it was shown in a non-production color (Chrome Shadow).

And yet Caddy still manags to steal everyone's thunder with a 600 HP CTS-V (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176211) :D

Bah, Chris Bangle sucks. I hate everything about him, and all his designs. He had better do something amazing with the M4. M6 turned out allright, but that 5 isn't what I'd pick for best looking car.

All hail more power though :hail:

500hp, 8000 revs and 7 gears of pure ugly. Ok so it's not as bad as the E65/66 but I'm sorry, 5er design peaked with the E34 and the E39... period. Both are and will remain classics for years to come, the E60 on the other hand... is classically odd. And while I understand the push to counter Mercedes and it's 7G-Tronic 7 speed slushy with an electrohydraulicaly controlled 7 speed manual, I'm not a fan of SMG only (although there are still rumors of a 6 speed manual option which I doubt) in the tranny department. While my uncle doesn't have the M3s version of SMG II in his E46 330i, it's still SMG and I'd still prefer a clutch.

I _LOVE_ the E39 M5, the E60 looks "okay" to me, but personally I think it's starting to look like a Pontiac :D

Look at the pic with the fire behind the car. If that front end isnt styling I don't know what it.

It looks good, its not like Chevy who now a days puts the SS badge on ever thing, if BMW put the M series badge it will always live up to it.

Yeah, I'm sure it's got an outstanding hardware inside, but the looks suck, somebody, please, fire the designer ASAP.
Looks like in terms of design BMW is past it's peak (E36) .

Chris Bangle :eyes: Fuck that dude...

A 95 M3 would do me nicely. I just did an Inspection 1 service on one yesterday. He had all the mods, with an awesome interior color, almost like something out of an old 70s Porsche 928. Deep beige/yellow/orange interior :hail:

Anyways, I took it out for a quick test, thing had mucho balls. OBD 1

I don't like the Color combo and hate the wood accents, but I do like all the interior upgrades. Looks like everything is covered in leather with Alcantera Headliner (my favorite interior detail on the e39 M5).
