My curve is in another thread. Im just trying to compare apples to apples and help others who do this make the right choices. All the important info should be here.
383 stroker home built
compression ratio - mine was about 10.5:1
477rwhp
440rwtq
SAE
March with belt
stock water pump
with air filter (dirty as hell, my fault)
no vacuum pumps
pump gas
hydraulic cam 242/250 .595/.595 109
Intake - LSX 90mm
Kooks 1 /78, ORY LM
10W40 dino
LS1 66cc 2.02/1.57
your headflow #s? especially at lower lift.
flywheel- mine was billet steel
driveshaft - mine was steel
rear - mine was Moser 12bolt with 4.11:1 85W140 dino
Tires/wheels - mine was stock 17"
All dynos are not equal either - mine was Phoenix performance. That could be 5% easy. I see what changes could have got me 500rwp if I wanted to.
Did I miss anything? How do you compare? Will you admit belt off or air filter out? thanks

You have a good, organized approach and I agree with the way you have posted your information. Great numbers, by the way! However, without looking at the actual curves for torque and horsepower, it doesn't tell very much except for bragging rights. For instance, except for pure track performance having a high peaky HP/torque is not nearly as helpful as a broadband torque curve that might have peak numbers 15% lower than the peaky one. The RPM range is important too.

my curves are in a post below..however it starts at 2000rpm rather than the usual 3500 everyone else seems to put out...making the torque look a little low.
my expired engine:
388 all-bore darton 4.135" MID block
compression ratio 10.8 - 11.0 : 1
478rwhp SAE
455rwtq SAE
full belts, asp underdrive pulley
stock water pump
without air filter
no vacuum pumps
pump gas 94 octane
lunati hydraulic cam 242/242.595/.595 112
Intake - ported LS6
QTP 1 3/4, no cats, hooker catback, cutout after y-pipe
10W40 regular oil
LS1 5.7 heads 2.02/1.60
AF 12.5-12.6, 28-29 degrees timing
do no have full headflow, supposedly beefy a lower lift and 320+ at 600 lift, but I never saw a flow sheet.
flywheel- sintered iron, heavier than stock
driveshaft - Denny's HD aluminum, heavier than stock
rear - Moser 12bolt with 4.11s, non-synth
Tires/wheels - stock 17" w balding firehawk sz50 ep, ~34 psi of air in them
6-speed dynoed in 4th gear
Dynoed at JD's auto. Dyno's posted on www.erikz.org if you go to the dyno link.

thanks bud. Only real differences is the air filter (minor) and the head flow...you got about 15cfm on me at .600. I opted for better head flow at lower lift for a daily driver.
wish we could have dynoed at the same dyno too.

BTW those torque numbers are great. Wonder how 1 7/8 headers are effecting me.

Thats funny because I was supposed to have 1 7/8 headers but there was a mix up and I ended up with 1 3/4 -- so I keep wondering the opposite, how would the 1 7/8 help me.

Sam another good question is HP peak rpm. :)

You are right Chris.
Maybe I should go to Mikeys and steal Eriks headers for a day or two...
