The above thread has a pic that the folks at Cheers and Gears are saying is 80% accurate for the new Maro. I do not know about that folks. Not Vetteish enough, more Mustangish. But, of course there is nothing there that a 400 HP LS2 could not solve, LOL.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I like it yet. It would be cool to see an actual model or something. I wish GM would just leak something already.

Hope it doesnt look like that it way too much resembles the 2005 Mustang. Not that the Mustang design is bad but why copy a Ford?
Looks like a 69 Camaro to me?
I want one :D

Thanks SunSetZ. Yeah, I think it looks a lot like a Stang. However, Stangs and Maro's used to not be that disimiliar a car. An LS2 would cure many outward ills.

No prob. I agree, an affordable, under rated LS2 car would definately sway me to buy one. I'll just wait and see.

Sounds like the same arguments for the new GTO, is the LS2 going to "cure" that as well?

If the goat with an ls2 doesn't cost as much as a vette... yeah it should cure some ills. As for the Camaro, I like it. I especially like Kris Horton's rendering of it in PHR. It looks freakin sweet. I'll take a Z28 in black please...

If the Goat cost 25 with an LS2, yeah, that would cure all!!! The Goat costs 35 (at dealers if not more).

I don't see why they need to copy Ford with the whole "Retro design". I liked the way the 4th Gens looked opposed to the previous years: they got more lines and curves, and started to look like sports cars rather than muscle cars. I wish GM would do the same with the 5th Gen Camaro: give it an even sportier, almost EXOTIC look rather than copy everything else and make it look retro.

I think it looks like a Camaro...and yeah they Camaros and Mustangs used to look similar in some ways..
The LS2 would definately make that car worth every penny. (for me) "I'd buy that for a dollar!"
I dont see why they would make a detuned version though...maybe a lesser cam but it would be cheaper to just slap the Vette motor in there.
I like the design but ovbiously GM would put some spice into it to set it apart from the '05 Mustang. From a distance it would have to be unmistakeable. I dont think they would have it any other way.
I would like to see the new Camaro more aerodynamically efficient as well. Not so much that it kills the look, but it would be a plus.
I would like to see that rendering with Kris Horton's rear end (his drawing i mean) and a nicely done front end thats either retro, but one well, or really cool looking but not space-ship futuristic.
I dont really like the "SS Concept" but its a great start, just too bubbly for me. The rear looks great on it, though. The black and white rendering doesnt do it justice on the Chevy website) but I saw a magazine with pictures of the actual concept and it wasnt that bad, but I can tell you I would just keep my '99 if they made the SS Concept the 5th Gen Camaro. No doubt. Notice it has the LS2, but they didnt call it that then. (Man that Concept has been around since the Camaro went on hiatus!)
It had 430 HP though.
Hey, anyone know where the LS1 was manufactured? Just curious.
