Doing a little visiting over at cheersandgears.com, i found that the concept considered to be 80% accurate was taken by Chris Horton and made into a 3-D image. Everyone be sure to check out September's PHR.

I read the PHR article, nothing really new but I thought it was interesting that they mentioned a RWD chassis (velite based) with a 5.3l engine.
I guess something is better than nothing and I know this is all just best guess info but I would be a little surprised and maybe a little dissappointed if they didn't put some version of an LS2 in it. But then again, I shouldn't be complaining, Again, its a whole lot better than nothing. And if it looks similar to that particular sketch, it would be gorgeous. We can dream I guess!

If they put a 5.3 in there it will be just another example of GM half A'ing another job. GM sucks!!!

I will agree that we are a little short on RWD cars right now, but you also have to acknowledge that no other manufacturer has given there performance crowd more engines and cars to put them in as has GM. I agree that GM could be doing more but I believe considering GM's history and what they have done for us, they do at least deserve a second chance. Ford and even chrysler for many many years left there people with either no cars or engines that were very challenged to make power until the aftermarket started jumping in in the late 80's-early 90's. And yet there fans have stayed true to them. Now GM is going through what I believe will be a short performance drought and so many people are ready to turn their back on them. :eyes: Call me crazy but I am going to stick with them. I believe in the end, as in the past, they will come through for us. :usa:

You guys take magazine speculation for way more than it's worth.

The Velite doesn't have it's own chassis either, it's built off the next generation Holden Commodore stucture (Zeta), which is RWD.

Which is why I said "this is best--guess-- info" and "we can dream" and yes you are correct, I should have said the Zeta platform.
