I just heard through a good source that the AWD Monaro will be headed to the US in between 2006 and 2008 as well as both an AWD and RWD Ute (Pickup) and possibly (get this!) a RWD SS Commodore (for those in the US this is the 4-door the monaro is based on). These were all ideas being toyed with by GM and Holden and with Mike Simcoe at GM Headquarters now maybe these ideas are taking fruition.

More along these lines, though probably with more power cause in the US you guys have less emissions restrictions.

By the way the English get our HSV GTO soon, it's a hi-po Monaro which will do 0-400m (1/4 mile) in 13.5 sec and has:
285kW (292kW DIN) or 382BHP @ 5800rpm
510Nm @ 4800rpm
